Frühlingszeit ist Leberzeit

Springtime is liver time

How we can best help our bodies detoxify

Liver time: between 1 and 3 a.m.

On the right side of the upper abdomen, well protected under the ribs, is one of our most important detoxification organs: the liver. It is usually not noticeable, but when it is heavily stressed, e.g. by pollutants or too fatty food, we can wake up between one and three o'clock in the night - because that is "liver time" according to our organ clock. If the liver is overloaded, toxins cannot be eliminated properly and we tire more quickly.

If the body is still suffering from winter - including an unhealthy diet, little exercise and a slowed metabolism - it needs support in spring to get back into gear and banish spring fatigue. Because it is precisely in spring that the liver unfolds its greatest functional power and ensures the breakdown of winter waste products. A spring cure with dandelion, milk thistle and artichoke, for example, relieves and strengthens the liver.

And with a fasting drink containing oat fibre, high-quality chickpea protein, vitamins and minerals, they create the best conditions to start the spring full of energy.
